HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Daddy got home tonight from South Texas from shooting birds at the ranch and we had a big night opening cards and presents before we went out for "Mommy-Daddy" night. Sinclair served us "teaaaa parteeee" and we had a large time with her Dora doll, the puppies and Daddy!! These are the moments I want to freeze!

She counted to 14 tonight (with effortless ease) and collapsed in exhaustion!

This is her "I love you Daddy" snuggle

Sinclair mailed out her Valentine's last week but I did not want to post them until I knew for sure most got theirs. We (Fairy Godmother Lisa Jane and Auntie Sarah) worked really hard to come up with something original that little boys and girls alike would enjoy. As my girlfriend Lisa M. says, this Valentine's package represented their family motto "Sunshine, Grow and Love"

Friends have been calling daily to rave about this year's Valentine. I admit, I probably went a wee overboard (imagine that???) but I just vividly recalled how much I loved Valentine's growing up and especially loved getting mail and feeling so special.

In addition, to the overflow of emails and phone calls I received over the Valentine....I got an email tonight (after we returned home from Steve and Ellen's Valentine's dinner) from my favorite cousin, Angel in Jackson, MS and her sweet cherubs enjoying their Valentine's. I love that her sweet babies, Lanie and Tyler enjoyed receiving these as much as we loved sending them! Now the pressure is on to see what we will do next year!

Meanwhile, back at Casa Chaos......
Daddy got in on the action too and sent this gorgeous spray of yellow roses

It has been a very busy day at Casa Chaos!! Late this afternoon the doorbell rang and it was a VERY special delivery from Sinclair's friend Patrick and his little newborn brother, Gray. I suggested to Sinclair we wait to open it when Daddy got home from the office....you can see by the look on her face the suggestion did not go over well. When her Valentine's loot revealed it was a PINK "Woof Woof" POODLE, she was so very excited! Sinclair immediately started smothering her new stuffed animal with kisses and hugs!

Our fierce kitty, Oscar Wyatt even got in on the romantic festivities. I have to admit I really did not like this cat these past few months. Oscar brings in a lot of animals (some dead, some not) off the bayou as "trophies" Well, I got the word this week that Sinclair was playing on her slide in the backyard and there was a snake that appeared presumably off the bayou to investigate our surroundings. Sinclair actually saw it first and started "hissing" then JoJo and "Nanny" saw what she was hissing about. Oscar came flying with his "Kitty Cape" on out of one of his many cubbies, swooped down on the snakes head and twisted and tangled with this rat snake until it was safely in two pieces....then he pranced off as if he has just successfully "ran with the bulls" As much as I hate to admit it, this fluffy carnavore just bought himself a reprieve from extradition.

Who am I kidding? We have had this crazy cat almost seven years...he is not going anywhere!

Sinclair has to be the best dressed kid ever. I have yet to see her wear the same outfit twice. I feel sorry for all the clothing stores when she is forced to start wearing a uniform for school. Ha Ha
