THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN.....

Six hours prior to the party I could not stand it any longer -- I had to go listen to AJ do his sound check. Hailey and Kirksey were at the ZaZa with their crew doing the decor load in. I pretended I was coming to see the flowers but it just happened to coincide with the sound check. AJ's regular band was on hiatus since they had just finished another album so we were in for a real treat as he brought "The Attractions" as in "Elvis Costello and the Attractions"! I got chills just listening to them warm up. Afterwards, AJ took a break and shared a glass of wine with me and we reminisced about the first time I ever saw him perform in 1993 at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen. From that moment on I was hooked and became his #1 fan! In the "small world" department one of my dearest friends Ellen and her husband Steve brought AJ to Aspen in 1993 for that performance. Before the ballroom doors opened and I told her we had AJ on stage she was as giddy as I was!

I came home to Sinclair and she was the first one dressed and pacing the floor ready to go to the party. I am confidant she had no clue what the occasion was but she got very excited after she took her bath she did not have to put on her pajamas and instead she donned a fancy velvet frock. She twirled in circles and giggled. This child LOVES to dress up! I could see the look on Sinclair's face when she saw "Nanny" dressed up too - she knew it was going to be a BIG night! Before I know it, she will be going to Uncle Ceron to get a blow out! They grow up faster than you can fathom.
