Brilliant move....

Sarah Palin is just a beauty queen.

She is a member of the NRA and ex-television reporter.

And ironically, the biggest criticism of Sarah Palin, John McCain's veep choice, is she has no experience. Funny, coming from the Barack Obama camp.

Following McCain's announcement of Palin - the first female to be put on a GOP ticket for the White House, and only the second in US history - the Obama campaign skipped the niceties and blasted her as the "former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience." She's also a governor of Alaska, the first woman in that office and the youngest elected in state history. She has an 85-plus percent approval rating. She has turned the state upside down with her reformist zeal and has made enemies of the Republican establishment.

And she can talk energy policy, one of the biggest issues facing this country.  She single-handedly turned Alaska around.  When she became head of state, she took the private jet (purchased by the last Governor) and told her staff, "take a photo and put it on Ebay, we don't need it"   She sold it at a profit.

Is she a gamble? Definitely. But so is Barack Obama, who has himself dismissed experience as a prerequisite for leadership, despite his spot atop the Democratic ticket.

At this point, Palin is so unknown, there's no way to make a clear judgment about her. But listening to Obama supporters take to the airwaves to shriek with indignation about her lack of experience is just a little too rich. Where were they when Obama, two years into the Senate, announced his candidacy for president?

The more I hear about her the more I love her!  Choosing Sarah Palin is solid proof that McCain is not interested in any members of the "Good Old Boy Club" (unlike Obama's choice of Joe Biden).  Sarah Palin will bring change, not to mention make history.

If I knew it only took a beauty queen title, NRA membership card and television reporting past to qualify for the job I would have submitted my name months ago!

Sarah Palin is a brilliant choice! Obama's rejection of Hillary as VP opened the door for McCain's choice. I'm seeing people now engaging up here in NH that have been disinterested so far. The pundits are underestimating the growing ground swell of support for her.

Obama's lack of experience is only one of many criticisms that have been levied upon him. Opponents of Obama are more concerned about his judgment (past associations with Resko, Ayers, Wright), his decision-making (troop surge, direct talks with Iran) and his core beliefs (socialism) than they are about his experience. Also, even though Palin's resume is about as thin as Obama's, at least she has LEADERSHIP experience. Obama has never led anything. Honestly, I think that of the 4 people on both tickets, she might be the MOST QUALIFIED because of her leadership experience.

Keep in mind also that, while she would be a "heart-beat away" from being president, Obama would immediately become president. Yes McCain is old, but the smart money is on him NOT becoming incapacitated while in office. Everyone seems to be expecting McCain to die after two years.

I think she is a great pick, and the left seems to think so as well, judging by their immediate and voluminous attacks on her, attempting to discredit her before she gains too much momentum. Ever notice how almost no one on the right is attacking Biden? As a conservative, I was ecstatic when I heard who Obama's running mate was going to be. The Biden pick cuts Obama's message of change at the knees, while McCain's pick shows who is the real candidate of change.

Democrats, you got it wrong when you chose Obama over Hilary and you know it. You have developed a classic case of buyer's remorse.

Notice how all of the liberal Obama supporting clowns always spout the same old DNC talking points when commenting about McCain?

McSame...McBush...McInsane

GIVE IT A REST!

This nation is in for a big change, but it's not going to be from Barack Hussein Obama and Joe "Hairplugs" Biden.

Change is coming from soon to be President John S. McCain and soon to be Vice President Sarah Palin!

She has more experience as a Governor than the three senators together. She has actually paid bills as the senators have only spent. Whats wrong with this picture? I would rather have the experience in years as President than as Vice- President. When you put experience as qualification, Obama looses all around against McCain

Love you blog - its my favorite

I think that mountain air must be getting to you. I'm ordering some oxygen to be delivered from Carl's STAT!

I respectfully disagree with your enthusiasm regarding Senator McCain's VP choice, but love you just the same.

XOXO

Sarah Palin certainly has more executive experience than Obama. He needs to get off that or someone will smack him in the face with his very own "inexperience". I am so impressed with Sarah Palin that at times when I think about her, I just sit here with a big smile on my face. I hope she rips Biden apart in the debates. GO SARAH!!!!!!!!

It is so nice to hear the positives about the GOP. I live in Austin and it is so liberal here that my Republican friends almost have to meet underground. I was at the Austin airport today when Air Force One landed to take our President to the Hurricane Command Post, I was so happy to happen to be there today. I know he will be taking charge of what needs to be done for the hurricane victims.

As a former Alaskan resident I am so very proud of our next Vice President. It is hard living there and she has changed that state for the better!

Let's get out the vote!
