Wow. I was riveted listening to Marcus.
Thanks for sharing this, Kristi. My dilemma of what-to-give for Christmas has just been solved for several people on my list.
And somehow I don't think this young man will ever see medical school. I think there's a screenplay here that will take him in a completely different direction ...
The Director Peter Berg was with us today
they are making a movie about Marcus
His book was optioned
While I have every respect for this man and his service to our country, I really don't see what is so riveting about him. He comes across as truthful and genuine but I would never use the word riveting.
I spent three hours in the room with him. There was not a dry eye in the crowd and he got three standing ovations before he ever finished his story
"Riveting" doesnt do him justice
Matt Lauer irritates me. What a thoughtless question about survivor's guilt. Sheesh. This poor man will be haunted, no matter what way his life goes. I hope we up the level of help for our veterans... We have damaged an awful lot of people.
