HANNA MONTANA RULES THE WORLD!

Today was a not your typical Rodeo day in Houston....it was record breaking performer Miley Cyrus/Hanna Montana "Best of Both Worlds" Tour 2008! 74,000 people showed up to watch this little "Disney Dinero Duchess" drive every little girl at Reliant Stadium crazy! I still do not get the fascination but I was told she borders along the Beatles and Elvis in popularity.

I personally did not attend but I was there for the send-off! Veronica and Daniel hosted Maita (her 8 year old little sister that resides in South America) and her Houston friends Brette and Cameron in our suite. They departed Casa Chaos this afternoon in their chauffeur driven limo and away they went ....into the 'tween fairy dust yonder.

Cameron's Mom, Tina and Brette's Daddy, Brad and I were reflecting when we were that age what was the most exciting thing we remotely ever did like this. Tina and I were stumped and could not recall ever being this giddy. To say these girls were on CLOUD SEVENTY NINE is an understatement. The faces were high wattage electrifying!
Prior to the concert, NetJets hosted their favorite customers and this gave Daniel the chance to surprise Maita with a trip to meet tween Queen, Miss Miley Cyrus herself. Maita was so bummed her friends could not be with her but she took one for the team anyway and had a lot to report!

I learned so much today.....for one generation, the must have accessory was a Marilyn Monroe blond wig, for another the must have accessory was a Dolly Parton wig. Alas, for this generation, the must have accessory for girls between the ages of 4 and 14 is the Hannah Montana blond wig! So, will just any old wig do or do you have to have an official Hannah Montana wig? Most adults will tell you that a blond wig is a blond wig but the girls will insist upon an original Hannah Montana wig. Otherwise, they will just have on a blond wig and that is not the same! The Hannah Montana wig can be found online or in retail stores. A Hannah Montana wig with a glittery microphone can be had for around "a half a Ben Franklin" and you can really look like a star!

When I was growing up, playing dress up was as easy as sneaking into your Mom's closet, pulling out the beautiful dresses and shoes that you adore when she wore them, breaking into her make up and putting on your face and showing the world the woman in you that is bursting to come out. My how times have changed! Mom's clothes just do not cut it now instead things have to be purchased, and not just anything it has to be the exact replica of your favorite star. Dress up the new expensive game for girls!

Daniel said "Miley was warm, friendly and very pretty in person and stood about five foot eight" We all got a chuckle when Daniel told us the story of the man he was talking to at the private reception. Daniel noticed they had an "open bar" for the adults and he told this man "I had to listen to Hanna Montana in the limo the whole way over here, I need a drink" -- he said the gentleman responded "we had her piped in on my plane all the way from Denver....I have been listening to her non-stop for over four hours"

Daniel said he realized that man needed the scotch worse than he did!

When all the girls arrived home, Sinclair had just finished her bubble bath and was ready for a little "girl time" She made Maita and Brette play "tea party" with her for a while and then Maita brought her presents....all things ladybugs! Keep in mind, Ladybugs is to a 19 month old what Hanna Montana is to an eight year old. Pretty soon, Sinclair was getting giddy over a Ladybug tray, plates and a sippy cup! Sinclair went and got her favorite ladybug shoes and was in frilly insect heaven....minus the blond wig, of course!
