THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN.....

We are just a little more than two weeks away from the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston's 60th Anniversary Gala, Diamonds in the Rough. Naturally, 60 years marks the "diamond anniversary" and this is such a significant milestone, my co-chair (and "BFF"), Ryland Holmes Peveto and I planning on making this the most lavish, and most fun, event in the Museum’s history. The clock is ticking and April 11 is the big day....The Corinthian is the place. Ryland and I have been hard at work to make it a great event. The silent auction, which in the past has been an art-only auction, will be augmented with great items like jewelry, cool art trips and luxury fashion items. The evening will honor artist John Chamberlain, who is considered the greatest living sculptor of our generation. Chamberlain is best known for creating sculptures from wrecked automobile parts that bring the Abstract Expressionist style of painting into three dimensions.


In addition to Chamberlain, Ryland and I will pay tribute to all of the past presidents
and chairmen to have served on behalf of the nation’s third-oldest and largest contemporary art organization.
