Sunday at Casa Chaos.....

Today was like any other Sunday at Casa Chaos we start to wind down in the evening to save our energy to start over again on Mondays.

Last night, after I had my treatment we got dressed and went to our neighbors for a wedding. Getting dressed took an hour longer just trying to find something long enough to cover my lines and not to burn up in winter clothes.

We finally got to the Mosbacher's and Mica had transformed (with the help of Richard and Kirksey - because you KNOW it is not a real smash unless the "Flower Fairies" have a hand in it) "Reflections" their beautiful historic mid-century into a South Hampton retreat. Everyplace outside the main residence was tented and pumped with tons upon tons of Air-Conditioning. The bride, Brittanie was gorgeous and the groom, Cameron was walking on air! After we paid our best wishes we moved on to the Country Club for a dinner in honor of our friends Mike and Joann - they celebrated 50 blissful years!

We started talking about what that means in real life. Folks are so quick to divorce these days, considering the divorce rate is higher than ever. There are very few people most know that have been married 50 years. Mike and Joann, my in-laws, my Godparents were married close to 75 years.....Hollywood is destroying the curve to which marriages are graded.

Later this afternoon when it was time for another treatment, my wonderful nurse, Brunetta had a little helper in Sinclair. It takes about an hour to flush all the lines and wait for the Cubicin to run its course. Sinclair ran to the bathroom and came back with a Dora band-aid and said "for Mommy Boo-Boo"

I went to church earlier today. As I sat there listening to the sermon I realized what I had to be grateful for. Today it was my beautiful family, my sweet little angel and her Dora the Explorer Band-Aids with loving hugs and kisses!
