TAMIFLU TO THE RESCUE!!!!

Our entire family has been a walking infomerical for the wonder drug, Tamiflu!

First it started (with me) over a week ago, I got so dehydrated I spent most of the afternoon getting IV's and antibiotics to fight off what was well in route.  My daughter was soon diagnosed with the flu (a few days later) and then we both were tested positive for strep.  The rest of our clan started their Tamiflu vaccines immediately.

By the time we made it to the ranch for Christmas festivities, Sinclair was already well into a "secondary virus" and we spent most of the afternoon pre-Christmas eve at the pediatricians office, armed with antibiotics.

We have had a great week despite the pitfalls of viruses.

I will follow up with a weeks worth of photos from all our adventures since Europe.

You do know that antibiotics only fight bacteria, not viruses?

Tamiflu is amantidine. An antiviral. I had a freaking godawful, horrendous reaction to that stuff years ago while it was just still called amantidine. I'd rather get the flu but I know it's popular.

My mistake, Tamiflu is the antiviral oseltamivir, I mixed it up with another brand name that hit the market. Either way, nasty stuff, but I rarely take drugs at all except green tea and Tylenol. It would be nice to finally see a genuine backlash against pharmaceuticals.
